How to Activate Your HEAT Pack
1. Push the dimple in the center of the button firmly until it clicks.
2. Once the pack is fully active, squeeze it until it is soft and pliable.
3. Packs can be used from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the size and how well it is insulated.
How to Recharge Your HEAT Pack
1. If you have a dishwasher, simply place heat pack in the top rack during normal cycle to recharge.
OR…
1. Place the pack on a vegetable steamer, basket or small hand towel in a pot of water.
2. Bring water to full boil for 5-10 minutes, depending on pack size (about 5 minutes for 3x5, 7 minutes for 4x10 or 5x9, 10 minutes for 6x18 or 8x16).
3. Turn heat to medium and leave in pot until packs are clear, then turn off heat.
4. Leave packs in water until completely cool, then remove, dry off and reuse.
Hotel Room:
Place pack into the hotel ice bucket or other sturdy container. Heat water using the coffee pot (do not use coffee in the pot) and pour enough hot water to completely cover the pack. Leave in hot water until it turns clear (you may need to replace water to keep the temperature hot enough). Let cool and reuse.
Camping:
Place heat pack on a towel in a pot of water and bring water to a full boil. Remove from heat and leave pack in the water until it is clear. Remove, let cool and reuse.
***NOTE: Packs should always be stored in a liquid state, and should be recharged as soon as possible after use, preferably within 72 hours for best results.
Heat packs can be used as COOL packs as well. However, they do not become as cold as ICE Packs (also available). Heat packs should never be put into the freezer!
At Home:
Place pack in the refrigerator or ice water for 12-30 minutes. Remove and use as cool pack.
At Hotel Room:
Place pack into the hotel ice bucket or other sturdy container. Fill with water and ice in hotel room. It takes 10-12 minutes for any of the packs to become cool packs.
Traveling/Camping/Hunting/Fishing:
Place the pack in an ice chest or ice bucket. Fill with water and ice. It takes 10-12 minutes for any of the packs to become cool packs.
